The Tea For Open Wounds and Burns: A Must Read Story

Hello! And welcome to Summer!  I always love wearing my white capri slacks, so now it’s officially A-OK.  And you?

The happy news for our family is that our daughter Kelly is now engaged! She met her wonderful Landon while serving a full-time mission for our Church in Northern California two years ago.   They have been dating since returning home in March of last year. They drove to California for Memorial Day weekend, (also her birthday) for their first road trip. (Bob and I are strong believers in going on a road trip before committing to marriage LOL.  That much time in the car is a pretty good indicator of lots of things :0)

Landon proposed right on her very birthday in San Francisco with a pretty ring. Does it get more romantic???  Happy times for all!

I’m extending this through Sunday night to include everyone :0)

Autoship friends:  We’ll include your freebie week with your autoship this month.

Last week I talked about Diatomaceous Earth, and now I’m reading up on Bentonite Clay.  I remember in my early days of sharing the tea a young woman using it and the tea to deal with parasites, and thinking we all need to know more about this.  It’s not just for detox, however.  It’s also an ancient trick for skin breakouts, eczema etc. so that’s pretty cool too!   Read on … and have a great week!

I visited this morning with my dear friend Sandra, who is so fun to play piano duets with.  She had badly burned her index finger from the knuckle to the joint with a glue gun back in March, So this story started nearly three months ago and has affected lots of things, including piano time.

She had been using a natural product she highly recommends called “Emu Oil” to treat it on her own.  (Once again, this is something I had never heard about! I’ll tell you more next week as this is awesome stuff.) However, she ran out of the Emu oil and started fiddling around with the burn, leaving it open, then covering it, putting whatever she had in the house on it, playing with it, etc.

It transitioned from being a very bad burn into a serious open wound that would not heal.  She is pre-diabetic with some health conditions that cause slow healing as well.

She was quite concerned, but, like many of us, reluctant to go see a doctor. As it began to look and and seem infected while it remained very painful, she finally went to an open wound clinic where the doctor prescribed a couple of different things, and within a short time she was on the right track.  But it was still very sore.

Now here’s where it get’s interesting:  I had suggested early on that the tea would really help with healing.  She had the tea and was polite, but didn’t use it.

One morning when it was especially painful (a month after being treated by the doctor) she felt prompted to use the tea.  She soaked a tea bag so it was thoroughly wet and put it on the area.  She used a light-weight gauze to hold the tea bag in place.  She then wrapped an ace bandage around her entire hand to keep it all from shifting and slipping.

Very soon, within hours, the soreness began to leave!  When she opened it later that night, she noticed that the skin had finally started to form a healthy, thin scab around the edges.

At last, this was the final turning point of the open wound healing! It continued to form a nice, thin scab over the entire wound and It has now completely healed.  It may leave a scar, and she very much wishes that she had just put the tea on it from the beginning.  She feels that  doing so may have both soothed and healed this painful injury.

Long story short and Sandra says to tell everyone: Whenever you have an open wound, rash or sore:  JUST PUT THE TEA CONCENTRATE ON IT!  Use a cotton ball or the tea bag. At night apply it so that it will hold in place with whatever you need to use to strap it in place.  We’re big on strips of saran wrap, or newspaper bags for feet, toes, elbows, etc.

It’s great for rashes, boils and cold sores too!  One things absolutely for sure: the tea cannot hurt anything and often makes a world of difference internally AND externally!

What Is Bentonite Clay? Read This Article Online HERE

bentoniteHere’s something else to help us get healthy and stay healthy!  Also from Dr. Axe, like last week.

Bentonite clay, also called Montmorillonite clay, is taking off as a wellness trend among people who are looking to help detoxify their bodies and defend against illnesses.

While it’s been used for centuries around the world to promote better health and ward off disease, this healing clay recently gained some spotlight in the U.S. and Europe as a trusted product that can be added to any detoxification program.

Bentonite clay is composed of ash made from volcanos. The largest known source of bentonite clay is found in Fort Benton, Wyoming where numerous volcanos are present, so the name of the clay stems from the town where today much of the supply is still harvested.

Bentonite clay stems back far in history as a traditional healing method for protecting the body from disease. It has been reported that several traditional cultures living in regions of the Andes, Central Africa and Australia have consumed clays in numerous ways for centuries. Because the clay is readily available and required no modern processing, it has been a popular and cost-effective way of “detoxing” the body for quite some time.

We come into contact with a range of toxins numerous times every day, as toxins are given off from common products like paint, cleaning supplies, markers, substances used in building homes, low-quality unpurified water, and even pesticides that are widely sprayed regions that have farming present. It is quite common to inject a range of different toxins just by breathing in the fumes that are present all around us, not to mention the toxins that we receive from an unhealthy diet filled with low-quality processed foods.

“Heavy metal toxins” usually refer to substances like mercury, cadmium, lead and benzene. These can be found in the products previously mentioned, and also in foods that contain high fructose corn syrup or certain types of fish. Bentonite clay benefits your body by helping to expel many of these toxins (thus as part of a heavy metal detox) and can increase immunity and reduce inflammation.

On top of being able to draw-out toxins from the body, the clay itself has a range of nutrients. Bentonite clay is known to have an abundance of minerals, including calcium, magnesium, silica, sodium, copper, iron and potassium.

When ingested into the body, either in a drink form or by eating the clay, its vitamins and minerals are absorbed similarly to how a supplement would be. Therefore, some people use it as a supplement since the clay is a natural source of important dietary nutrients.

Next week I’ll tell you why it works and why people are using bentonite clay, and thinking we need to order some ourselves.  It’s available at Amazon and is so reasonably priced for what it claims to do.
